Yellowstone National Park

We kept a sharp eye out for wildlife the day we went to Yellowstone.

This buffalo seemed to want us off his road.  The animals are not afraid of cars or people and want you to know that they own the road.

Mama and baby enjoying a quiet nap.

Naturally we did all the tourist things starting with a stop to see Old Faithful.

We timed it just right and the eruption started just a few minutes after we arrived.

It was a gorgeous day - cool with a breeze.  The normal fumes were not present, so we enjoyed a few short hikes to see the interesting areas.

We also had a brief moment of insanity when we decided to take a "short" hike down the canyon to get a better view of the waterfall.

Every time we made it to the bottom of a section of stairs, we went around a corner and were met by another long set of steps.

We enjoyed the view until we remembered that the 328 steps
on the way down  meant 328 more steps back up.

We should have paid more attention to this sign before we started on our adventure.
